Firewall - corner detail before trimming

There is not much to the firewall ... Bulkhead "A" plus two cross support angles. Almost doesn't require any photos.

Riveting of cross support angle completed. NOTE: In place of riveting, the Rudder Bar Support will be held in place with bolts. Thus, flush riveting on the center of the lower angle.

Firewall - Close view looking forward at the rear of Bulkhead "A"

Flush riveting. One pop rivet had to be used due to its close proximity to the nut plate. It took three rivets before I was satisfied. Fortunately, pop rivets are easily removed. USE OF BOLT RECOMMENDED BY BUILDERS. Allows replacement of the rudder bar and support for future modification.

If you ever cut titanium ... do it outside! I was in my garage! By the way, a famous person blamed the collapse of the Twin Towers (9/11) on a conspiracy because "metal can't burn"!
